Naweker, Gerhard, age 53, passed away January 7th 2006 in Spittal Austria of stomach cancer. Gerhard was a mine electrician from approximately 1978-1982. He is survived by sister Brigitte and a niece and nephew.  
Nicholson, Brian, age 50 died of a heart attack September 22, 2004 in Ontario. Brian time in Cassiar spanned at least the period 1980-88 and he worked in  Engineering, Plant Maintenance Clerk in the powerhouse, Employment/Safety Office, the Warehouse and possibly Test Mill Operator too. He was active in the music scene, remixing audio tapes and occasionally working as DJ in the bar. Brian's mother was the twin sister of Marion Cook. Dave & Marion Cook, Brian's uncle and aunt, were twice residents of Cassiar: 1963-1966 and 1977-1981. Dave was assistant Mill Superintendent. They had 4 boys, Douglas, twins Gord & Allen and Ken.  
Nicholson, Oliver died of cancer in Ackworth, Yorkshire, England in about 1994. He worked in Cassiar 1975-1978 but had been there previously, likely as an engineer.  
Nitti, Frank, passed away November 7, 2008, age 76, of Pancreatic Cancer, Kelowna, BC. Frank moved to Cassiar in 1955 from Chile and married Marvel. He worked for Cassiar mining for 30 yrs and when he retired he was the warehouse foreman. Frank was very active in the curling club and was well known for his annual trips to the Johnnie Walker bonspiel in Scotland. He was pre-deceased by wife Marvel and son Jack and leaves to mourn sons Porty (Smithers) and Xavier (Kelowna) and daughter Corrine (San Francisco).

Nitti, Jack (John Gerald Hogan Nitti) passed away July 19, 2008. Predeceased by his mother Marvel and previous partner Lynda Casey. Jack left to mourn his loving family, wife Shari and daughter Reta, father Frank; sister Corrine (Bridget); brothers Xavier (Judy) and Porti (Carol) as well as other extended family members and friends. Jack was born in Toronto and grew up in Cassiar, BC. He graduated from St. George's School in Vancouver in 1970 and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University.

Normoyle, Maureen Patricia, age 86 passed away September 22, 2007 in Barriere, BC. She was a resident of Cassiar 1958-1964. Predeceased by her husband Vince. She leaves to mourn children Deirdre, Kieran, Virginia, and James and Kathleen.  
Normoyle, Vincent, passed away peacefully in his sleep August 15, 2003 in Kamloops, BC at age 81. He left to mourn his wife Maureen and children Deirdre, Kieran, Virginia, James (Jimmy) and Kathleen. Vincent came to Cassiar in 1957 and his family joined him later. He was a Marine Engineer but worked in the Garage as a tireman. Many will remember the family lived in the brown log house on Kennedy Street, 2nd house from the corner.  
Notland, Stanley Theodore died in 1995. According to the webpage at http://www.yesnet.yk.ca/schools/jackhulland/classes/colberg/ancestors/stories/amanda.html apparently part of a Grade 5 project "Our Ancestors", was written in 2001 -2002 by his granddaughter Amanda, then a student in Whitehorse, YT. She wrote that Stanley drove a truck for Cassiar Asbestos, then White Pass and Yukon Route. He retired in 1992, moved to Penticton and died in 1995. Stanley must have been employed by Cassiar's Transport division in Whitehorse, driving the large transports hauling fibre from Cassiar and or Clinton Creek to Skagway.
